Carven

The original inspiration for the design house was drawn from world travel, artistic motifs and a new vision of how clothes and bags should be worn. Signature pieces, such as structured shirts and cocktail dresses in bold colors and playful prints for handbags, have earned the label a cult following.

The Story

Carven was founded in 1945 by Carmen de Tommaso (aka Madame Carven) and since it has become renowned for an irreverent take on Parisian chic and today presents a unique line of handbags and accessories. The maison was known for a sporty yet feminine approach, and Carven was the first designer to create couture outfits for Air France's uniforms in the 1960's.

This Season

Serge Ruffieux has redefined his muse for the Parisian woman: a balanced coexistence of young coquette fused with a demure vintage look. Inspiration is drawn from the romantic city with an eclectic mix of boho, old glamour and timeless sophistication.
